days of tumblr

If a tumblr falls in the forest, and no followers are there to reblog it, does it make a sound?

.

Mainly a collection of quotes and stuff I like, with occasional interludes of my bitterness 'n' straight-up mentally ill thots. No identifying details. You don't know me.

I don’t even know why it started, bitch

So The Wire is amazing and I was already drawing all sorts of parallels between the show and Save the Last Dance, and then MALAKAI HIMSELF SHOWED UP.

I should also note that there was a character in StLD named Snookie. Snookie! Like Jersey Shore’s Snooki, he was an important source of comic relief.  I am very excited about all these connections.  The Wire is supposed to be Dickensian, and I keep waiting the Dickensian-ness to come out, like “oh, how Dickensian!”  It is certainly possible that I haven’t read enough Dickens to be able to make this call.  I mean, when the kid with the eye patch came back, I did say to myself, “gee, perhaps that is Dickensian?”  What I am actually finding most Dickensian so far, though, is this Malakai/Snookie/Save the Last Dance-being-relevant-in-ways-I-never-thought-it-would business.
